It seems like all I do are portraits.
I've got to do a few more like this one, but it's cold and wet in the studio. I'm going to get back into it when the sun shows up again.

For a long time I thought bigger was better, but when it comes to transporting them, it can get a bit pricey, and from the buyers perspective, sometimes you don't have the wall space.

I haven't done anything over a metre square in about a year, and I don't know if I will this year, unless by request.
I would like to do something epic, something you can get lost in, I've done a few drafts but it ends up looking like my very old stuff, I'll keep throwing ideas at the drawing board until something sticks.

I have a few ideas already lined up to be painted, and I have to fight the urge to scratch them just to go off and find this epic work, if I did that I'd have like seventeen incomplete paintings rotting in the shed. The next idea after the one I'm doing now is a girl having her hair dried by a jet engine like hairdryer in a hair dryer salon in the 1980s, hopefully it comes out ok, and does not become an abomination.

  2. Looks amazing! The touch of the colors look so soft and her hair reminds me of a beehive.
